I was so sad when my ophthalmologist retired that I waited almost two years to look for a new one. I had my first visit the other day with Coastal and loved everything about it!! I saw Dr. Rao, who was very nice. I am so happy I finally called them.
Doctor Shakir is very well-trained, extremely intelligent, and most competent… and very nice, which is an added benefit. My appointment was at 11 am; the receptionist was pleasant, and the process was quick, easy, and smooth. Quickly in to be assessed. The technician and Doctor were both very courteous and informative – answering all my questions. I didn’t ever feel rushed or that the exam wasn’t thorough. I was happy that you can now drive after dilation! :) The follow-up appointment for lens fitting was great, too – very thorough, answered all my questions, and was kind and professional. This is a great office; so happy to have found them!
My eyesight has improved greatly since I started coming to Coastal Eye Surgeons. Dr. Shakir corrected my cataracts and removed floaters that had bothered me for the last 10 years. Other eye surgeons told me it couldn’t be done. Now my vision is nearly 20/20, and I’m driving at night.
